Martin informed me “My brothers started boxing when I was 6, I wanted to go with Steven and Darren, I was also inspired by watching Tyson and Lewis and Benn ,Eubank. I loved them years of getting up early to watch the big fights”.

Gethin told me his hardest fight was out of Ammeth Diaz and Terry Flangen.

Dexter’s Thoughts

Martin has had a great career and I saw him in his final fight at Walsall town hall where he was had a convincing victory. I have heard rumours that he my continue to compete as from what I saw in his last fight he has still got a lot to offer boxing. What ever Martin chooses he has been a credit to boxing in Birmingham and the Black Country and the Birmingham boxing column wish him all the best.
