Rebellion TOPromotions

Here at Tommy Owens Promotions, we are back for our second show at the Holte Suite, Aston Villa Football Ground in 2018. Our last show – Stormbringers, had a little bit of everything – upsets, knockouts, blood and guts – and there was even a rumour that Paul “Soggy” Counihan got a round in at the conclusion of the action. This coming Saturday, we return to the Villa Ground with our latest offering of talent on our “Rebellion” show. Each show is made up with a balance of new talent on the scene and also prospects in or around title level. Blood, sweat and tears were shed at our last show – providing ample motivation for the guys in the home corner to keep their eye on the ball as the ever important win in this game is promised to no one. When looking for opponents, we always tend to look for somebody looking to turn over a prospect and make sure the paying customer is provided with a TOP night of entertainment and gets value for money – YOU after all are an essential part of the small hall scene.

Ishmael Ellis has continually impressed on his previous outings on our shows and brings a unique quality in his style. Confident and flashy, he passes the eye-test and has answered everything asked of him thus far in his professional career. His record stands at a glistening 6-0 and will be stepping into title level for the first time Saturday night as he contests the British Challenge Belt over eight rounds.

Birmingham banger Karl Wiggins returns to the show and will be looking to build upon the three-fight winning streak he has put together since losing his Midland title back in 2016. Wiggins has been unlucky with niggling injuries scuppering plans or having him waiting in the side-lines, put he has proved his quality time and time again and will be looking to put in an impressive display Saturday night to get his name back into title contention.

Shaun Cooper is another prospect on the card who will be looking to extend his unbeaten record. Currently sitting pretty at 3-0, the 5’10” scrapper learn his trade under the vest of Walsall Wood ABC as an amateur, where he was West Midlands champion on more than once occasion. He will be looking to emulate that title-winning in the professional ranks.

Another man at 3-0 is Kaisee “KO Kid” Benjamin. He captured a national title in the amateur game and was renowned for his explosive punching power – a quality which makes for entertaining nights in the professional game. Benjamin is part of an impressive line-up for the Ultimate Boxxer competition at the end of April in Manchester and will need to win here and come through unscathed to ensure he enters that tournament full of confidence.

Jordan “Shaka” Thompson looks a prospect to behold and has impressed in each of his professional outing thus far in the professional game and was always highly entertaining in his amateur days.

We also have two debutants on the show in the guise of Idris Virgo and Ellis Blake – both will be looking to put on impressive displays and overcome the pressure that can sometimes seize first-timers.

It promises to be an entertaining night, and we hope to see you there. For tickets, please contact the man himself – Tommy Owens on 0796 716 6643 or log onto www.topboxing.co.uk
