Bbcolumns Pound 4 pound Fighters 2022

The Birmingham Boxing Column has went though Boxrec too compile the pound 4 pound top 10 fighters in Birmingham and the Black Country. Taking their scores on Boxrec we have put the top ten in order, the list is there scores only so feel free to disagree.

Coming in at number 10 you have ‘D Animal’ Andrew Robinson, the 37-year-old fighter from Redditch has had 32 fights winning 25 and drawing 2. Robinson has fought at Middleweight and Super Middleweight for many titles which includes English, European, Internationals and even British. He has shared the ring with the likes of Frank Buglioni and Liam Smith.

Ninth on the list is Conah Walker, the 26-year-old from Wolverhampton has an unbeaten record of 10 fights with 1 draw and claimed the Midlands title at Welterweight beating Levi Ferguson on points. He is now set to fight Samuel Antwi for the English title at Welterweight in February.

Eighth on the list we have southpaw Tyler Denny, the 30-year-old from Rowley Regis has fought 18 times winning 13 and drawing 3. He has won the Midland’s Middleweight title and has fought for the English Middleweight title twice. In his last contest he drew with River Wilson-Bent in a very controversial result as the fight ended in the seventh on a head clash and was deemed a draw.

Seventh on the list is the form British Light-Heavyweight champ and current WBC International Light-Heavyweight champ Shakan Pitters. The 32-year-old stands at 6 foot 6 and has won 17 of his 18 fights, he claimed the WBC International title stopping Reece Cartwright in the eighth round of his last fight.

Sixth in the rankings we have the unbeaten Liam Davies the unbeaten 25-year-old bantamweight from Donnington has won all of his 11 fights. He won the Bantamweight English title in his eighth fight stopping Sean Cairns in the sixth. He then went on and won the WBC International bantamweight title on points in his last fight.

Heading into the top 5 we have the former British and Commonwealth champ Brad Foster. The 24-year-old super-bantamweight from Litchfield has won 14 and drew two out of 17 fights, losing his unbeaten record in his last fight to Jason Cunningham on points in October of 2021. Foster has also won the IBO International super-bantamweight title beating Alvaro Rodriguez on points and also won the British title outright.

Fourth in the line up we have the hard hitting Kaisee Benjamin, the 26 year old from Birmingham has won 15 fights and drew 1 from his 17 contests. Benjamin has won the Midlands Welterweight title several times and has now dropped to super lightweight where he looks to contest for bigger titles starting with the British.

Coming in at number three we have Gamel Yafai, the 30-year-old super-bantamweight from Birmingham has won 18 of his 20 fights and has been a WBC International and a EBU European at super- Bantamweight champ. Yafai lost his European title in his last fight on points to Jason Cunningham in May of 2021.

Second in our Pound 4-pound list we have Lennox Clarke, the 30-year-old from Birmingham is the current British and Commonwealth super Middleweight champ after defending his British and winning the commonwealth titles stopping the much-fancied Willy Hutchinson in March of 2021. Lennox has also won a IBO continental super Middleweight title in 2017 and was also crowned the Bbcolumn’s Boxers of the Year in the same year.

So, we come to the BBColumn’s Pound 4 Pound Fighter of Birmingham d the Black Country, Sam Eggington is 28 years old originally from Smethwick. ‘The Savage’ has won 31 fights out of his 38 contests and has claimed Midlands, WBC International, European, Commonwealth and British titles at Welterweight. He then moved up to super Welterweight and won the IBF International title and continued to Middleweight winning and defending the WBC Silver Middleweight title. In 2021 Eggington was also crowned Bbcolumn Boxer of the Year 2021 and also won Bbcolumn’s fight of the year in his last contest against Bilel Jkitou.
