James Beech jr has secured a WBC International title shot at super Bantamweight against current holder Chris Bourke. The fight will take place on the undercard of the Joe Joyce v Takem undercard at Wembley arena on Saturday 24th July which will be aired live on BT sports. Bourke (26) who has an unbeaten record of 9 wins won the title in his last fight beating Michael Ramabletsa in the second round (5,12,21). Beech (24) also has a very impressive record winning 12 of his 13 contests and winning two Midlands area titles at two different weights. Beech's only defeat came in his last fight where he challenged the highly rated and unbeaten Brad Foster for his British Super Bantamweight title losing on points. Beech jr will be looking to get back to winning ways and move up the super Bantamweight ranks and win this WBC title.
Dexter's Thought’s
Great to see James Beech jr back in the ring and challenging for big titles. This may only be a International title but this will move him up in the WBC ranking and could eventually lead to a world title shot. I am a big James Beech fan and I’m chuffed to see him challenging for titles at a high level. This fight is by far a given but I honestly think Beech can beat Bourke win the title and move up the ranks. If he does and keeps winning, he could potentially fight for a world title which could be against his only victor Brad Foster. What a world title fight that could potentially be.
The Column look forward to seeing Beech jr in action at the end of July.
