Dominant Debut For Skidmore

Tipton Danny Skidmore made a dominant  debut at the H-Suite Edgbaston (16.02.24). The show was called Collision Course with the main event being a ten-round Welterweight Midlands area contest between James Scarrots and Jamie Stuart. The twenty-eight-year-old took on Paul Scaife in a four-round super lightweight contest. Skidmore weighed in ten stone two with Scaife coming in ten stone four with Ryan Churchill refereeing the contest and Chris Dean judging.

Great start by the debutant Skidmore as he launched combination after combination to the head and body in a dominant first round, Scaife stood strong but could only cover up. Skidmore continued his good work in the second round landing big body shots with some hurtful combinations winning the round with ease.

The third was another dominant round by Skidmore who landed big right hands to Scaife head and continued to work the body well. Scaife kept his hands high as he was just trying to survive to onslaught of combinations from Skidmore who showcased his talents in a final round that was controlled by him from start to finish.

Judge Chris Dean scored it 40 to 36 Skidmore I had it the Same

Dexter’s Thoughts

Great debut by Skidmore who really showcased his skills and dominated his opponent who had entered the ring thirty-eight times. Skidmore worked the body well and all four rounds were fought at a very high pace. Skidmore seemed to have no fear and no nerves as he entered the pro ring for the first time, and I can see him moving up to six-rounders very soon. This was a great debut and I have to say I was very impressed with this performance and look forward to seeing Danny in the ring very soon.
