Goldsmith Shines as he Tops Bill

Unbeaten Twenty-five-year-old Bradley Goldsmith Shined as he topped the bill at the H-Suite Edgbaston on the Tommy Owens Promotions show. The Middleweight from Coventry was having his ninth contest of his professional career on the show called ‘A December to Remember’ (3.12.23). Goldsmith was taking on Serhii Ksendzov in a six-round contest in the Super Middleweight division, the Ukrainian Ksendzov (30) was having his twenty-second fight of his career. He weighed in eleven stone eleven with Goldsmith coming in elven stone ten with Pete McCormick reffing the contest.

Goldsmith was on the front foot from the first bell picking good shots and landing some nice sharp combination finishing the round strong. Goldsmith moved up the gears in the second landing several big combinations on Kesendov rocking and making go into survival mode. Goldsmith dominated the third round pushing Kesendov back and landing some heavy combinations.

The fourth round was a bit scrappy with Ksendzov looking to hold, Goldsmith continued to pick good shots winning the round with ease. Goldsmith looked to end it in the fifth landing massive combinations and backhands with Ksendzov somehow managed to hang in there and see the round out. Ksendzov was in full survival mode in the sixth and was looking to hold at every chance. Goldsmith continued to land combinations knocking Ksendzov gum shield out, Ksendzov then went on the run and tried to keep safe as Goldsmith looked for the stoppage and somehow saw the final round out.

Judge Chris Dean Scored it 60 to 54 I had it the same

Dexter’s Thoughts

What a great performance by Goldsmith tonight taking his unbeaten record to nine without defeat. He put on a great show, showcasing his skills and showing some real power in a contest he dominated. He is definitely in line for a shot at the Midlands Middleweight title which at the moment is still held by River Wilson-Bent. Now this would be a cracking contest as both fighters hail from Coventry and both have great followings which would make this a great domestic battle. I know Wilson-Bent has bigger titles on his mind but while he is waiting for the call this would be a contest that could set the winner up for big titles. Goldsmith impressed me in this fight and I look forward to seeing him fight again very soon.
