Kelly now gets European title shot

Kelly Now Gets European Title Shot

Ruthless Ryan Kelly’s year could end with him not just winning and retaining his super welterweight Midlands area title but he now has a chance of claiming a European Title. Kelly is set to fight Mason Cartwright in Bolton on the 8th December which was going to be an elimination bout for a chance to fight for the British welterweight title. It is still an eliminator for the British but the fight it’s self is now for the WBO European Welterweight title. Kelly has over 150 supporters make there way down to Bolton and he has organised coaches to take some of them down. There is a limited amount of tickets left, if you fancy cheering on Kelly contact him via social media for tickets.

Dexter's Thoughts

I thought it was great news when it was announced that Ryan would be in an elimination fight for a chance to challenge for the British title, so this is even better news that it is now for the WBO European Welterweight title. Ryan has had a great year already and this would be a great ending to a great year. He is bring over 150 supporters up with him Bolton and I’m sure they will be making themselves heard. Mason Cartwright has a good record of only 1 defeat in 15 fights. But his only defeat was his last fight which was for the WBO European Welterweight title against Darren Tetley who won by TKO in the 9th round. Tetley is lucky to gets another crack at the WBO title but with the year Kelly has had and that Eastside gym mentally I think Tetley’s luck has just ran out. I can see Ruthless Ryan Kelly winning this fight and the title then making a big challenge for the British title and entering the Birmingham Boxing Column's Hall of Fame.
